Freezer cycles on and off frequently with short run times

Safety first: Unplug the freezer before accessing sensors or control boards.

• Verify temperature setting: Ensure the freezer is not set too close to ambient temperature, which can cause frequent cycling.
• Check thermistor placement: Make sure the thermistor is properly mounted and not directly in the path of cold air discharge or touching the evaporator coil.
• Improve airflow: Avoid blocking internal vents and leave space around the sensor area for proper air mixing.
• Replace thermistor or control: If short cycling persists, test the thermistor and replace if out of spec. If the sensor is good, the main control board may need replacement.
