Ice buildup around the door frame or on the door gasket area

Safety first: Unplug the freezer before using heat to remove ice.

• Remove ice: Use a plastic scraper and warm cloths to remove ice from the door frame and gasket. Do not use sharp tools.
• Inspect and adjust gasket: Check for gaps and reshape the gasket with gentle heat from a hair dryer if needed. Replace if torn or deformed.
• Check door alignment and level: Adjust hinges and leveling legs so the door closes squarely and seals evenly.
• Heater function: If your Café model has a door or mullion heater and ice continues to form, the heater circuit or control board may be faulty and require technician service.
