Possible Causes
Failed evaporator fan motor, Ice obstruction around fan blades, Broken fan wiring harness, Faulty fan driver circuit on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the freezer from mains power before accessing the fan area.
- Empty and access the evaporator compartment: Remove baskets and the internal rear panel to expose the evaporator and fan assembly.
- Check for ice blockage: Inspect the fan blades and shroud for ice buildup. If present, fully defrost the area by leaving the unit unplugged with the door open. Do not chip ice with sharp tools.
- Spin the fan by hand: Gently rotate the fan blades. They should spin freely without grinding or resistance. If seized or noisy, the motor is likely faulty.
- Test fan motor: Disconnect the fan connector and measure resistance across the motor terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. If you have the skills and tools, you can also test for supply voltage at the connector when the unit is powered (technician only).
- Inspect wiring: Check the harness from the fan to the main control board for damage or loose connections.
- Replace the fan motor: Remove mounting screws or clips, swap in a new Candy-compatible evaporator fan motor, and ensure the fan rotates without hitting any shrouds.
- Reassemble and test: Refit the rear panel and baskets, plug the freezer back in, and confirm that the fan runs and E07 clears after a short period.
Warning: Do not run the freezer with the internal panels removed, as airflow will be incorrect and you may contact moving parts or live wiring.
