Possible Causes
Defective fast-freeze button or switch, Faulty fast-freeze indicator circuit on UI board, Main control board logic fault, Stuck relay controlling fast-freeze
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before removing the control panel or accessing the main board.
- Check fast-freeze button: Press the fast-freeze (Super Freeze) button several times. It should have a positive click and the indicator light should respond.
- Access the control panel: Remove the screws/clips securing the Candy control fascia and gently pull it forward to expose the UI PCB.
- Inspect the button contacts: Look for contamination or damage around the fast-freeze switch on the PCB. Lightly clean with contact cleaner if dirty.
- Check wiring to main board: Ensure the harness between the UI and main control board is firmly connected and undamaged.
- Reset the control: With the unit unplugged for a few minutes, reconnect power to reset the electronics. Sometimes E11 can clear after a full power cycle.
- Replace faulty UI or main board: If the button is physically damaged or the PCB is burnt, replace the UI board. If the UI is good but E11 persists, the main control board may need replacement.
Warning: Avoid shorting PCB tracks or probing live circuits without proper training.
