How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before opening the control housing.
- Access display module: Remove the screws or clips holding the Candy display/control panel and gently pull it forward.
- Check ribbon cable: Ensure the flat cable between the display and main/UI board is fully inserted and locked in place.
- Inspect for corrosion: Look for green/white deposits on connectors; clean carefully with contact cleaner.
- Reseat connectors: Unplug and replug the ribbon and harness connectors to ensure good contact.
- Replace display module: If the display is cracked, burnt, or unresponsive, install a new Candy-compatible display PCB.
- Test after reassembly: Plug the freezer back in and verify that the display updates correctly and E18 is gone.
