Possible Causes

Locked control panel (child lock active), Faulty keypad or touch sensor, Damaged UI PCB, Moisture behind control panel

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: If you need to open the control panel, unplug the freezer first.

  • Check for control lock: Many Candy freezers have a child lock. Hold the lock symbol button (or combination specified in the manual) for several seconds to unlock.
  • Power cycle: Unplug the freezer for 5 minutes, then reconnect to reset the control electronics.
  • Inspect control panel: If still unresponsive, remove the fascia and check for moisture or corrosion on the UI board. Dry gently if damp.
  • Replace UI board: If the keypad matrix or touch IC is faulty, install a new Candy-compatible user interface board.

Warning: Do not spray cleaners directly onto the control panel; liquid can seep inside and damage electronics.
