Safety first: Unplug the freezer before performing gasket replacement to avoid the door being opened for an extended time with power on.
- Order correct gasket: Obtain a Candy-specific replacement gasket for your model.
- Remove old gasket: Gently pull the inner lip of the gasket from the door liner channel, or remove screws/retainers if used.
- Clean gasket channel: Wipe the door surface and channel with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly.
- Install new gasket: Starting at the corners, press the new gasket into the channel, ensuring it seats fully all around. If screwed, refit screws loosely, then tighten evenly.
- Warm and shape: Use a hairdryer on low to soften the gasket and help it conform to the cabinet. Close the door and check for uniform contact.
