Possible Causes

Loose compressor mounting, Vibrating condenser tubing, Worn evaporator fan motor bearings, Ice hitting fan blades

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the freezer before touching moving parts or tubing.

  • Isolate the noise: Listen carefully to determine if the sound comes from the rear (compressor/condenser) or inside (evaporator fan).
  • Check leveling: Ensure the Candy freezer is level and all feet are firmly on the floor. Adjust leveling feet to eliminate cabinet vibration.
  • Secure tubing: At the rear, gently hold condenser tubes and listen for changes in noise. If vibration stops, add foam spacers or clips to prevent contact with the cabinet.
  • Inspect evaporator fan: Inside, remove the rear panel and check for ice buildup around the fan. Defrost any ice and ensure blades are not hitting shrouds.
  • Replace noisy fan motor: If the fan motor is grinding or wobbling, install a new Candy-compatible evaporator fan motor.

Warning: Do not bend refrigerant lines sharply or force them; they can crack and leak.
