Possible Causes
Door left open or not sealing, Recent large load of unfrozen food, Evaporator heavily iced due to defrost failure, Refrigerant leak or weak compressor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No internal electrical work is required for basic checks; unplug only if removing panels.
Steps to clear AL high‑temperature alarm:
- 1. Check door seal and closure: Ensure the door is fully closed and the gasket is clean and undamaged. Remove any items blocking closure.
- 2. Allow recovery time: If you recently loaded a large quantity of warm food, switch on fast‑freeze (if available) and allow 12–24 hours for temperature to stabilise.
- 3. Inspect for frost build‑up: Look at the rear internal panel. Heavy frost or ice suggests a defrost issue. Manually defrost the freezer (empty contents into a cool box, unplug, and leave door open until fully defrosted).
- 4. Check ventilation: Ensure there is adequate space around the freezer and that condenser grilles are not blocked with dust.
- 5. Monitor temperature: Use a separate freezer thermometer to verify actual temperature. If the unit cannot reach around −18°C after 24 hours, there may be a sealed‑system or compressor fault requiring a refrigeration technician.
- 6. Silence/reset alarm: Use the alarm or reset button on the control panel to silence the beeper once the cause is addressed.
Warning: If food has thawed significantly, follow food safety guidelines and do not refreeze unsafe items.
