Caple
Interior LED / Lamp Failure
Interior light not working but freezer otherwise cools normally
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Blown LED module or bulb, Faulty door switch, Loose light connector, Failed low‑voltage driver on PCB (for LED systems)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer before removing the light cover or touching wiring.
Steps to restore interior light:
- 1. Check door switch: Ensure the switch operates smoothly and that the freezer recognises door open/closed (e.g. fan stops when door opens). Replace if faulty.
- 2. Remove light cover: Carefully unclip or unscrew the light lens inside the cabinet.
- 3. Inspect LED/bulb: Look for dark spots or burn marks. On LED modules, there may be no visible damage; test with a multimeter or substitute a known‑good module.
- 4. Check connections: Ensure the light connector is firmly seated and wires are intact.
- 5. Replace light module: Fit the correct Caple LED module or bulb and reassemble.
Note: If multiple low‑voltage features fail together, suspect the PCB low‑voltage supply rather than the light itself.
