Blocked Defrost Drain or Door Seal Leak
Water pooling at the bottom of the freezer or on the floor in front

Possible Causes
Clogged defrost drain hole behind evaporator, Frozen drain tube, Damaged or deformed door gasket allowing warm air ingress, Cabinet not level causing water to spill forward
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer before removing internal panels or working near electrical parts.
Steps to clear water issues:
- 1. Identify source: Check if water is inside the cabinet (often under bottom drawer) or on the floor from the rear.
- 2. Clear defrost drain: Remove the bottom drawer and internal rear panel if necessary. Locate the small drain hole beneath the evaporator. Use a soft pipe cleaner or plastic probe to clear debris. Flush with warm (not boiling) water using a turkey baster or syringe until it flows freely to the rear drain tray.
- 3. Thaw frozen drain tube: If blocked with ice, gently warm the area with a hairdryer on low, keeping it away from plastic surfaces.
- 4. Check door gasket: Inspect for splits or areas not contacting the cabinet. Warm the gasket with a hairdryer and reshape if slightly deformed; replace if badly damaged.
- 5. Level the appliance: Adjust front feet so the freezer tilts slightly backwards, encouraging water to flow to the rear drain tray.
Note: Persistent water issues after clearing the drain may indicate a cracked drain tray or excessive frost due to defrost faults.
