How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the freezer before opening the control panel.

Steps to fix unresponsive buttons:

Clean surface: Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth and dry. Do not spray cleaner directly onto the panel.
Access panel: Remove screws and gently pull the control panel forward.
Check ribbon cable: Ensure the cable from the keypad to the control board is fully inserted and not damaged.
Inspect for moisture: Look for condensation or liquid inside the panel. Allow to dry completely before reassembly.
Replace keypad/UI board: If specific buttons never work, the keypad or touch PCB is likely faulty and should be replaced with a compatible Costway part.

Note: Avoid pressing buttons with sharp objects, which can damage the membrane.

Buttons on the freezer control panel do not respond or respond intermittently.
