Possible Causes
High room humidity, Door gasket not sealing, Failed door frame heater (if equipped)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No internal electrical work is usually required. Unplug the unit if you remove any trim.
Steps to reduce condensation:
- Check room conditions: High humidity can cause sweating on cold surfaces. Use a dehumidifier or improve ventilation.
- Inspect gasket: Ensure the door gasket is sealing properly. Clean and replace if damaged.
- Wipe moisture: Regularly wipe away condensation to prevent mold and rust.
- Door frame heater (if present): Some models have a low-wattage heater around the door frame. If the frame is very cold and sweating heavily, the heater circuit may have failed and should be checked by a technician.
Note: Light condensation in very humid environments can be normal, but persistent heavy moisture indicates a sealing or heater issue.
