Safety: Unplug the freezer before removing the control panel.

Steps to restore display:

  • Check for backlight: In a dark room, see if any faint light is visible behind the display. Total darkness suggests no power to the display.
  • Access control panel: Remove screws securing the display housing and gently pull it forward.
  • Inspect connectors: Ensure the ribbon cable or harness between the display and main board is firmly seated.
  • Look for damage: Check the display PCB for burnt components or corrosion.
  • Replace display board: If connections are good but the display remains blank, replace the Costway freezer display/user interface board.

Note: Cooling can continue with a failed display, but you will not be able to adjust settings or see alarms.
