Possible Causes
Burnt LED or bulb, Faulty door switch, Loose light connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer before replacing bulbs or accessing wiring.
Steps to restore interior light:
- Check door switch: Press the door switch by hand with the door open. If the light flickers or comes on intermittently, the switch may be faulty.
- Test the switch: Remove the switch and test continuity with a multimeter while pressing and releasing. Replace if it does not change state.
- Inspect the light module: Remove the light cover (usually snaps off). Check for loose connectors or burnt LED/bulb.
- Replace light source: Install a compatible Costway freezer LED light module or bulb. Do not exceed the specified wattage if using an incandescent bulb.
- Reassemble and test: Restore power and open the door to confirm the light operates correctly.
Note: If both the switch and light module are good, the control board output to the light may be faulty and require replacement.
