• Test door switch: Locate the door switch (usually near the top front frame). Press it manually; the interior light should turn off and the alarm may silence. If not, the switch may be faulty.
• Replace door switch: If the switch does not change state when pressed, replace the door switch.
• Check temperature: Use a thermometer to verify actual freezer temperature. If warm, follow high-temperature troubleshooting (fan, compressor, condenser cleaning).

Note: Some models allow muting the alarm temporarily via the control panel, but the underlying cause should still be corrected.
