Possible Causes
Burned-out LED or bulb, Faulty door switch, Loose light wiring connector, Failed light driver on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before replacing bulbs or accessing wiring.
Steps to restore interior light:
- Check bulb or LED module: On models with replaceable bulbs, remove the cover and inspect the bulb. Replace with the correct type and wattage. For LED modules, inspect for visible damage.
- Test door switch: Press the door switch manually; if the light flickers or never comes on, the switch may be faulty. Replace the door switch if it has no continuity when pressed.
- Inspect wiring: Ensure the light harness connector is firmly seated at the light assembly and control board.
- Control board: If the bulb/LED and switch are good but no voltage is supplied to the light, the main control board's light circuit may have failed and require replacement.
Tip: Avoid using higher-wattage bulbs than specified; excess heat can damage plastic housings.
