Possible Causes
Low mains voltage, Power surge or spike, Internal power supply failure on PCB, Loose mains connection at terminal block
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off and unplug the freezer before inspecting the mains connection. Mains voltage can be lethal.
- Check outlet: Plug another appliance (like a lamp) into the same outlet to confirm it has stable power. Avoid using multi-way adapters or long extension leads.
- Inspect mains cord: Examine the power cord for cuts, kinks, or burn marks. If damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified technician.
- Check terminal block (advanced): On some models, the mains cable connects to a terminal block behind a small cover. With power disconnected, remove the cover and ensure screws are tight and there are no signs of overheating.
- Use a surge protector: If your area has unstable power, consider using a high-quality surge protector rated for refrigerators/freezers.
- Reset: After verifying the supply, plug the freezer back in and clear AL09 via the control panel. If the error recurs immediately, the internal power supply on the main PCB may be faulty.
