Possible Causes
Failed display PCB, Loose ribbon cable between UI and main board, Moisture ingress into control panel, Damaged touch buttons
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before removing the control fascia.
- Check for condensation: Wipe any moisture from around the control panel. If the panel has been exposed to steam or spills, allow it to dry completely before further testing.
- Inspect connections: Remove the control fascia and check the ribbon cable or harness between the display board and the main PCB. Reseat both ends carefully.
- Look for damage: Examine the display board for corrosion, burnt components, or cracked solder joints at the connectors.
- Replace UI board if needed: If the display remains faulty after reseating cables, replace the user interface/display board with the correct De Dietrich part.
- Test: Reassemble, restore power, and verify that the display and buttons now function and AL13 is cleared.
