Possible Causes
Compressor mounting loose, Condenser fan blades hitting debris, Evaporator fan hitting ice, Cabinet or pipes vibrating against walls
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before touching moving parts.
- Identify noise source: Listen from the front and back to determine if the noise comes from the compressor area, inside the cabinet, or the sides.
- Check leveling: Ensure the freezer is level and all feet are firmly on the floor. Adjust leveling feet as needed.
- Inspect rear compartment: Remove the rear panel and check that the condenser fan spins freely and is not hitting wires or dust buildup. Secure any loose tubing with foam or clips.
- Check internal fan: Inside, remove baskets and the rear panel. Look for ice around the evaporator fan and defrost fully if needed. Ensure the fan shroud is correctly fitted.
- Compressor mounts: Verify that the rubber grommets under the compressor are intact and that mounting bolts are snug but not overtightened.
