Possible Causes
Loose refrigerant lines contacting cabinet, Worn compressor suspension, Normal refrigerant flow noise amplified by cabinet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before adjusting any components at the rear.
- Check installation: Ensure the freezer is not touching walls or cabinets that can amplify vibration. Leave a small gap on all sides.
- Inspect piping: At the rear, gently move copper tubes away from each other and from the cabinet using insulated clips or foam sleeves to prevent contact.
- Compressor mounts: Confirm that the compressor is firmly mounted on its rubber grommets and not hitting the base plate.
- Monitor: Some clicking or knocking at start/stop can be normal. If the noise is very loud or worsening, have a technician check the compressor.
