Possible Causes
Blown household fuse or tripped breaker, Faulty power cord, Loose mains connection inside terminal block, Failed internal fuse on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Always disconnect power at the wall before opening any covers.
- Check outlet and breaker: Test the wall outlet with another appliance. Reset any tripped breakers or replace blown fuses.
- Inspect power cord: Look for visible damage. If damaged, do not use the freezer until the cord is replaced by a professional.
- Internal connection: If comfortable, remove the rear or top cover to access the mains terminal block. Verify that wires are secure and not burnt.
- Internal fuse: Some De Dietrich control boards have a small fuse. If blown, it may indicate a deeper fault; replacing it without addressing the cause can be unsafe.
If there is still no sign of life, the main control board or internal wiring may be defective and should be checked by a technician.
