Freezer shows ED; interior light and controls may behave erratically; sometimes associated with door opening events.

Safety first: Unplug the freezer before working on the light or switch.

• 1. Observe behavior: Note if the error appears when the door is opened or closed, or when the light turns on.
• 2. Test door switch: Remove and test the door switch for proper open/closed operation with a multimeter. Replace if it sticks or reads shorted.
• 3. Disconnect light module: Temporarily unplug the LED light module and restore power. If ED disappears, the light module is likely shorted and should be replaced.
• 4. Inspect wiring: Check the harness in the door frame area for pinched or rubbed-through insulation.
• 5. Replace control board if needed: If switch and light are good, the control board's light driver circuit may be damaged and require replacement.
