Possible Causes

Door left open or frequently opened, Failed evaporator fan motor, Defrost system stuck on, Compressor not running due to start device or control fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure the door is closed to prevent condensation and slipping hazards. Unplug the unit before internal checks.

  • 1. Check door and gasket: Make sure the door closes fully and the gasket is sealing. Remove any items blocking closure.
  • 2. Listen for compressor and fan: When powered, verify that the compressor and interior fan run. If silent, investigate compressor start device, fan motor, and control board.
  • 3. Inspect for heavy frost: Remove the rear interior panel to check for a solid ice block on the evaporator, indicating defrost failure. Address defrost components if needed.
  • 4. Allow recovery: After correcting any issues, close the door and allow 12–24 hours for temperature to stabilize. The H1 alarm may clear automatically once temperature returns to normal.
  • 5. Protect food: If temperature remains high, move food to another freezer and continue diagnosis or call a technician.
