Freezer door will not close properly or pops open after closing.

Safety first: Ensure the freezer is stable and will not tip while adjusting the door.

• 1. Check for obstructions: Rearrange food so nothing protrudes beyond the shelves or baskets to interfere with the door.
• 2. Inspect gasket: Look for tears, gaps, or hardened sections. Close the door on a strip of paper at multiple points; if it pulls out easily, the seal is weak. Replace the gasket if necessary.
• 3. Warm and reshape gasket: Use a hair dryer on low to gently warm and reshape minor gasket warps, then close the door to let it cool in place.
• 4. Adjust hinges: On upright Electrolux freezers, loosen hinge screws slightly and adjust the door so it is square with the cabinet, then retighten.
• 5. Level the cabinet: Tilt the freezer slightly backward using the front leveling feet so the door closes by gravity.
