Water leaking onto the floor from under or around the freezer.

Possible Causes
Clogged defrost drain tube, Frozen drain trough under evaporator, Cracked drain pan, Excessive frost due to door gasket leak
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer and mop up any standing water to prevent slipping.
- 1. Access evaporator drain: Remove interior rear panel to locate the drain trough beneath the evaporator coil.
- 2. Clear ice and debris: Use warm (not boiling) water to melt ice in the drain trough and tube. A turkey baster works well to flush the drain.
- 3. Check drain tube exit: From the rear bottom of the freezer, locate where the drain tube empties into the drain pan. Ensure the tube is not kinked or blocked.
- 4. Inspect drain pan: Verify the plastic drain pan above the compressor is not cracked or overflowing. Replace if damaged.
- 5. Check door gasket: A poor seal can cause excessive frost and water. Replace the gasket if it is torn or warped.
