• 3. Test resistance: With the unit unplugged, disconnect the sensor and measure resistance at room temperature. Compare to typical NTC values (often 5–15 kΩ at 20–25°C). An open or shorted reading indicates failure.
• 4. Replace sensor if faulty: Install a new ambient NTC temperature sensor and route the wiring away from sharp edges or hot components.
• 5. Check PCB connection: Ensure the sensor harness is firmly seated on the main control PCB and that there is no corrosion on the pins.

When to call a technician: If a known-good sensor does not clear E9, the main control PCB may be defective and should be professionally diagnosed.
