Confirm symptoms: Listen at the back for any humming or clicking. Total silence with interior lights on suggests a start/control issue.
Check control settings: Ensure the Fagor freezer is not in demo mode and that the temperature is not set to OFF or the warmest setting.
Inspect compressor area: Remove the rear lower panel and look for obvious damage or burnt smells around the compressor and start device.
Replace start relay/overload: If the start device is burnt or rattles when shaken, replace it with the correct Fagor compressor start kit.
Control board check: If the compressor never receives power, the main control board may be faulty and should be replaced by a technician.
Compressor failure: If the compressor is powered but does not start and windings test bad, professional sealed system service is required.
