Possible Causes
Door not fully closed, Warped or damaged door gasket, Misaligned door, Failed door switch, Broken door switch wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Always disconnect power before testing electrical components.
dO indicates the control thinks the door is open.
- Step 1 – Physically check door: Ensure nothing is blocking closure. Rearrange food items and verify the door closes flush with the cabinet.
- Step 2 – Inspect gasket: Look for tears, gaps, or hardened sections of the gasket. Close a sheet of paper in various spots; if it pulls out easily, the gasket may need replacement or the door may need adjustment.
- Step 3 – Test door switch: Locate the door switch (usually in the liner near the door opening). Press it by hand; the interior light should turn off. If not, test continuity with a meter and replace if faulty.
- Step 4 – Check wiring: Inspect the wiring from the door switch to the control board for breaks or loose connectors.
- Step 5 – Control board: If the switch and wiring are good but dO remains, the control board input may be defective and require replacement.
