Possible Causes
Burned-out light bulb or LED module, Faulty door switch, Loose wiring to light socket, Defective control board light output (on electronic models)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Unplug the freezer before replacing bulbs or working on wiring.
- Step 1 – Replace bulb: If your model uses a replaceable bulb, remove the lens cover and install a new bulb of the correct type and wattage.
- Step 2 – Test door switch: Press the door switch by hand and listen for a click. Test continuity with a meter; replace if it does not change state when pressed.
- Step 3 – Check wiring: Inspect the light socket and wiring harness for loose connections or damage.
- Step 4 – Control output: On LED-lit models controlled by the board, if the LED module and switch are good, the control board may be faulty and require replacement.
