Possible Causes
Loose evaporator fan blade, Ice buildup contacting fan, Loose interior panels or shelves, Unit not level causing cabinet vibration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before removing interior panels or touching the fan.
- Level the unit: Use a level to check front-to-back and side-to-side. Adjust leveling legs so the freezer is stable and does not rock.
- Check interior components: Remove and reseat shelves, baskets, and drawers to ensure they are properly installed and not rattling.
- Inspect evaporator fan: Remove the rear interior panel and check that the fan blade is tight on the shaft and not hitting ice or wiring.
- Remove ice obstructions: If ice is contacting the fan or panels, defrost the area by unplugging the unit and allowing ice to melt. Address underlying defrost issues if ice returns quickly.
