• Step 1 – Locate ambient thermistor: On many Gladiator freezers, the ambient or cabinet thermistor is located near the control housing or behind the front grille. Consult the tech sheet (often behind the kick plate) for exact location.
• Step 2 – Inspect connections: Ensure the thermistor plug is fully seated in the control board connector. Look for corrosion or moisture.
• Step 3 – Test thermistor: Unplug the thermistor and measure resistance at room temperature. Compare to spec. Replace if open, shorted, or out of tolerance.
