How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Disconnect power before removing the control panel or touching circuit boards. Avoid static discharge to electronic components.
- Step 1 – Power cycle: Unplug the freezer for 10 minutes, then plug back in. If E6 reappears, continue.
- Step 2 – Inspect control housing: Remove the control panel cover (usually at the top front or on the door). Check for moisture, corrosion, or burned components on the electronic control board.
- Step 3 – Reseat connectors: One at a time, unplug and firmly reconnect each wiring harness to the control board, ensuring proper orientation and full insertion.
- Step 4 – Replace control board: If the error persists and no wiring damage is visible, replace the control board with the correct Gladiator part number. Transfer any jumper settings or programming as specified in the service sheet.
