Possible Causes

Internal display board fault, Incorrect sensor calibration data, Loose display connector, Control board firmware issue

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety First: Disconnect power before accessing the display or control boards.

  • Step 1 – Verify actual temperature: Place an accurate freezer thermometer inside and compare to the displayed temperature after 24 hours. Note any large discrepancy.
  • Step 2 – Power reset: Unplug the freezer for 5–10 minutes, then restore power. If E8 returns, continue.
  • Step 3 – Inspect display connections: Remove the control housing and check the wiring harness between the display module and the main control board. Reseat connectors.
  • Step 4 – Replace display or control: If wiring is intact, replace the display module first. If the issue persists, replace the electronic control board as per Gladiator service documentation.
