Possible Causes

Door left open or not sealing, Excessive warm food load, Failed evaporator fan motor, Dirty condenser coils reducing heat removal

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety First: Disconnect power before touching internal components or fan blades. Food safety may be compromised if temperatures remain high for several hours.

  • Step 1 – Silence the alarm: Press the Alarm Reset or Temp Alarm button to silence the beeper. The indicator may remain lit until temperature recovers.
  • Step 2 – Inspect the door gasket: Check the Gladiator freezer door gasket all the way around for gaps, tears, or debris. Clean the gasket and door frame with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly. Ensure no bins or baskets are preventing full closure.
  • Step 3 – Check for overloading and airflow: Avoid blocking air vents inside the cabinet. Spread out warm items and avoid stacking boxes tightly against the back wall.
  • Step 4 – Clean condenser coils: Unplug the freezer. Pull it away from the wall and vacuum dust from the condenser coils and grille (usually at the rear or bottom). Restore power and allow 12–24 hours for temperature to stabilize.
  • Step 5 – Verify evaporator fan operation: With the unit running and door switch held closed, listen for the evaporator fan inside the freezer. If silent or noisy, the evaporator fan motor may need replacement.
