Freezer door is hard to open right after closing, or pops open slightly after being shut.

Safety First: Avoid slamming the door; this can damage hinges and gasket.

• Step 1 – Allow equalization: It is normal for the door to be harder to open for a few seconds after closing due to pressure changes. Wait 30–60 seconds and try again.
• Step 2 – Level and align: Level the freezer and adjust door hinges so the door closes squarely and seals evenly.
• Step 3 – Reseat gasket: Warm the door gasket with a hair dryer on low and gently reshape any twisted sections so they lie flat against the cabinet.
