Display shows E0 and freezer may not respond to temperature changes or special functions.

Safety first: Unplug the freezer from the mains before removing any panels. Do not work on live circuits.

Step-by-step checks:

• Power reset: Disconnect power for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect. Sometimes E0 is a temporary communication glitch.
• Inspect control connections: Remove the top/front control panel (usually held by screws or clips). Check the ribbon cable and wiring harness between the display PCB and the main control PCB for loose or partially seated connectors.
• Check for corrosion or moisture: Look for signs of moisture ingress or corrosion on the connectors and PCB. If present, dry the area thoroughly and clean light corrosion with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush.
• Check harness continuity: With a multimeter (freezer unplugged), test continuity of the harness between the display board and main PCB. Replace the harness if any conductor is open.
• Firmware/board replacement: If wiring is sound and E0 persists, the main control PCB or display PCB is likely faulty. These are not usually repairable at component level; replace the defective board following the service manual.
