How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the appliance before removing the control panel.
Procedure:
- Test super-freeze button: Remove the display/control panel and check the button switch with a multimeter for proper operation (momentary contact when pressed).
- Inspect UI PCB: Look for cracked solder joints at the button or LED. Resolder if you are experienced, otherwise replace the UI PCB.
- Check wiring to main PCB: Ensure the harness between UI and main board is intact and fully seated.
- Control output: If the UI is good, the main PCB may not be driving the super-freeze relay. In most cases, replace the main PCB rather than attempting component-level repair.
