Possible Causes
Stuck relay on main control PCB, Freezer NTC sensor reading too warm (out of calibration), Shorted sensor wiring, Faulty control algorithm on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before accessing controls or sensors.
Steps:
- Verify set temperature: Ensure the setpoint is not at the coldest setting or in super-freeze mode.
- Check freezer sensor: Test the freezer NTC sensor resistance and compare to expected values. Replace if out of range.
- Inspect wiring: Look for shorted or damaged sensor wires that could cause the control to read a higher temperature than actual.
- Control board: If the sensor is correct but the compressor never cycles off, the compressor relay on the main PCB may be stuck closed. Replace the main control PCB.
