Possible Causes
Seized evaporator fan motor, Ice obstructing fan blade, Open fan motor winding, Faulty fan control output on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before removing interior panels.
- Access fan: Remove baskets and inner rear panel to expose the evaporator fan assembly.
- Check for ice: Look for ice buildup around the fan. Defrost any ice with a hair dryer on low, avoiding direct heat on plastic.
- Spin blade: Try turning the fan blade by hand. If stiff or stuck, replace the fan motor.
- Test motor: Disconnect the motor and measure resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
- Replace motor: Install a Haier-compatible evaporator fan motor, ensuring correct wiring and airflow direction.
- Control output: If the motor is good but never receives power, the main control PCB may be defective.
