Ice buildup on the floor of the freezer compartment.

Safety first: Unplug the freezer and place towels to catch melting ice.

• Remove ice: Take out baskets and chip away loose ice on the floor with a plastic scraper. Do not use metal tools.
• Clear drain hole: Remove the inner rear panel and locate the drain hole under the evaporator. Pour warm (not boiling) water into the hole until it flows freely into the drain pan.
• Clean drain tube: From the rear, disconnect the drain tube and flush it with warm water to remove debris. Reattach securely.
• Check gasket: Repair any door seal issues that may be causing excessive frost and water.
