Possible Causes
Frozen defrost drain hole, Debris blocking drain tube, Misaligned drain pan, Excessive frost from door leaks
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer and place towels to catch melting ice.
- Remove ice: Take out baskets and chip away loose ice on the floor with a plastic scraper. Do not use metal tools.
- Clear drain hole: Remove the inner rear panel and locate the drain hole under the evaporator. Pour warm (not boiling) water into the hole until it flows freely into the drain pan.
- Clean drain tube: From the rear, disconnect the drain tube and flush it with warm water to remove debris. Reattach securely.
- Check gasket: Repair any door seal issues that may be causing excessive frost and water.
