Possible Causes

Moisture under touch panel, Worn or damaged keypad, Loose UI ribbon cable, Faulty UI microcontroller

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the freezer before opening the control panel.

  • Clean surface: Wipe the control panel with a dry cloth to remove moisture or residue.
  • Access UI board: Remove the control panel cover to expose the keypad or touch PCB.
  • Inspect for moisture: If condensation or spills are present, dry the area thoroughly and allow time for evaporation.
  • Reseat cable: Reseat the ribbon cable between the keypad and main board.
  • Test buttons: With the panel open (and power restored if safe), test button response. If specific buttons never work, the keypad or touch PCB is likely faulty.
  • Replace UI: Install a Hisense-compatible user interface board or keypad assembly.

If controls remain unresponsive after UI replacement, the main control board may not be processing inputs and should be checked by a technician.
