Freezer interior light works but compressor and fan do not run; no humming or clicking sounds.

Safety first: Unplug the freezer before removing any control covers.

• Check modes: Consult the user manual to ensure the freezer is not in demo or vacation mode. Exit any special modes via the control panel.
• Verify temperature setting: Ensure the control is not set to OFF or the warmest setting.
• Test door switch: Locate the door switch plunger. Press and release it; the interior light should turn on and off. If the switch is stuck or broken, replace it.
• Inspect control panel: For mechanical thermostats, listen for a click when turning the knob from warm to cold. If no click and no cooling, the thermostat may be faulty. For electronic controls, check for error codes or unresponsive buttons.
• Replace faulty control: Replace the thermostat or user interface/control board with a Hisense-compatible part if it fails basic tests.

If the control appears to call for cooling but the compressor and fan remain off, further diagnosis of the main PCB and wiring by a technician is recommended.
