Possible Causes
Freezer not level, Loose internal panels or baskets, Condenser fan shroud vibrating, Rear panel or grille loose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before tightening screws or adjusting components.
- Level the unit: Use a spirit level on top of the freezer. Adjust the front leveling feet until the unit is stable and does not rock.
- Check internal items: Remove and reseat baskets and shelves. Ensure they are properly engaged in their tracks and not rattling.
- Tighten panels: Inspect the rear service panel and any internal covers. Tighten loose screws and ensure panels are not vibrating against the frame.
- Inspect condenser fan: If equipped, check the condenser fan and shroud for loose mounting or debris causing vibration. Tighten screws and remove obstructions.
- Add padding: Place thin foam or felt pads between metal parts that contact and vibrate, avoiding any moving parts or hot surfaces.
If vibration persists and seems to originate from inside the sealed system, consult a technician.
