Possible Causes
Burnt-out LED module or bulb, Faulty door switch, Loose light wiring connector, Control board not powering light circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before replacing bulbs or accessing wiring.
- Check bulb/module: On models with replaceable bulbs, remove the cover and inspect the bulb. Replace with the correct type if the filament is broken or the LED is dark.
- Test door switch: Press the door switch plunger; if the light does not respond, the switch may be faulty. Test continuity with a multimeter and replace if it does not change state when pressed.
- Inspect wiring: Check the light assembly connector for looseness or corrosion. Reseat as needed.
- Control issue: If the bulb and switch are good but the light still does not work, the main control board may not be supplying power to the light circuit.
For LED modules integrated with the control system, replacement of the module or control board may be required by a technician.
