Possible Causes
High room humidity, Door gasket leak, Failed anti-condensation heater (if equipped), Poor ventilation around cabinet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer if removing any trim or panels.
- Improve ventilation: Ensure adequate space around the freezer for air circulation.
- Check gasket seal: Replace the Hitachi door gasket if it is not sealing properly.
- Anti-condensation heater: On models with a mullion heater, check for warmth around the door frame. If always cold and condensation is heavy, the heater circuit or control may be faulty and require PCB or heater replacement.
- Control humidity: Use a dehumidifier in very humid rooms to reduce condensation.
