Possible Causes
Failed condenser fan motor, Obstruction in fan blades, Damaged fan wiring harness, Faulty main control PCB fan output
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working at the rear of the freezer.
- Access condenser fan: Remove the rear lower cover to expose the condenser coil and fan assembly.
- Check for obstructions: Remove dust, debris, or objects blocking the fan blades. Ensure the blades spin freely by hand.
- Inspect wiring: Look for loose connectors, burnt wires, or corrosion at the fan motor terminals.
- Test fan motor: Disconnect the fan and measure resistance across the motor leads. An open reading indicates a failed motor.
- Verify voltage (advanced): With the unit powered and calling for cooling (compressor running), carefully measure voltage at the fan connector. If no voltage is present but the compressor runs, suspect the main control PCB.
- Replace fan motor: Install a new Hitachi condenser fan motor if defective. Ensure correct rotation and secure mounting.
