Possible Causes
Blocked condenser coil, Failed condenser fan motor, High ambient temperature, Failing compressor drawing excessive current
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer. Components at the rear can be hot.
- Clean condenser: Remove the rear lower cover and vacuum dust from the condenser coil. Use a soft brush to avoid bending fins.
- Check condenser fan: Ensure the fan runs whenever the compressor is on. If not, see the condenser fan fault section.
- Improve ventilation: Make sure there is adequate clearance around the freezer (typically at least 5–10 cm at sides and back) and that it is not installed in a confined, unventilated space.
- Monitor operation: After cleaning and ensuring airflow, reconnect power and observe. If H3 recurs and the compressor is very hot to the touch, the compressor may be failing.
- Technician service: A failing compressor or sealed system issue requires a qualified refrigeration technician.
