Possible Causes
Faulty inverter PCB, Incorrect DC supply from main control PCB, Shorted compressor windings, Loose inverter-compressor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer. Inverter circuits can store high voltage; do not touch capacitors or power components immediately after unplugging.
- Inspect inverter PCB: Locate the inverter module near the compressor. Check for burnt components, cracked solder joints, or bulging capacitors.
- Check wiring: Ensure all connectors between the main control PCB, inverter PCB, and compressor are fully seated and undamaged.
- Test compressor windings: With the inverter disconnected, measure resistance between compressor terminals. Shorted or open windings indicate a failed compressor.
- Replace inverter PCB: If the compressor tests good and wiring is intact, replace the Hitachi inverter PCB.
- Technician recommended: Due to high voltages and specialized diagnostics, inverter faults are best handled by an authorized Hitachi technician.
