Display shows dashes or blank segments instead of temperature, but freezer still cools.

Safety: Unplug the freezer before removing the display panel.

• Inspect display connections: Remove the control fascia and check the ribbon cable or plug to the display. Reseat firmly.
• Check for moisture: Look for condensation or corrosion on the display PCB. Dry gently if slightly damp; severe corrosion requires replacement.
• Replace display module: If segments remain missing, replace the display / UI board with the correct Hoover part.
